Overview of the course

This track gives you the essential visual skills to become a professional photographer and videographer. You will start by understanding the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) and types of cameras and lenses. Then you will learn visual composition rules and natural and artificial lighting. Finally, you move to still and motion video shooting, camera settings for video, and shooting interviews and products.

What will you learn?

Camera types (DSLR, Mirrorless) and appropriate lenses for each task
Exposure triangle: aperture, shutter speed, ISO
Visual composition rules (rule of thirds, leading lines, frame within frame)
Understanding depth of field and using it creatively
Natural lighting: timing, direction, and shadows
Artificial lighting: LED lights, flash, and home studio
Product, portrait, and event photography
Video settings: frame rate, shutter angle, and log profiles
Shooting interviews and B-Roll footage
Post-production: file organization and editing basics

Photography Fundamentals

Learn the exposure triangle, focus, lens types, visual composition, and start with daily shooting exercises to apply the concepts.

Lighting and Advanced Photography

Focuses on natural and artificial lighting, portrait and product photography, using flash, and enhancing image quality in software like Lightroom.

Videography Basics

Move to video shooting: video settings in camera, interview shooting, B-Roll footage, camera stabilization (tripod and gimbal use), and basic audio recording.

After completing the course, you will be able to

  • Take professional photos of products, portraits, and events
  • Shoot short videos for interviews and advertisements
  • Start working as a freelance photographer or videographer

Admission Requirements

  • A camera (DSLR, Mirrorless, or even an advanced smartphone with a Pro Camera app)
  • A tripod is preferred for lighting and video
